Here’s what happens:
You take a deck of cards out of your pocket and show that it is encased in a sturdy clip to keep them protected from the rigors of everyday life. You take the box out of the clip offering a little challenge to your spectators. Can they name the color of the card guard? Black. They are correct. Can they name the color of the deck? Red. They are once again correct. The cards are placed back in the guard, and for the final question, did they see the cards jump? That’s when you open your hands to reveal that the cards have completely vanished and reappeared in your pocket. Then, you can go into your favorite routines.
