There are two things that can’t be done with The Tossed Out Deck. You can’t have the cards examined, and you certainly can’t have them shuffled. At least, you couldn’t do that until David Regal gave this plot the royal treatment. Three cards are thought of, and the performer is able to successfully reveal those thought-of cards. Any Card to Wallet - Collector's Workshop

Non slight of hand version of a named card to wallet. Magician throws out a deck to the audience and has a member go through, select a card, and then place the deck back in the tuck case.
