Looking for a great opening effect that will grab their attention? Well, Petty Cash fits the bill!
You give you helper the chance to win some cold hard cash (now, everyone loves the chance to win some money).
Three colour envelopes are introduced. Inside each envelope is a bill of a different value, a 5, 10 & 20. Also each envelope contains a poker chip with the same value (colour coded to its corresponding envelope.) You state you have made a prediction, in fact, you know exactly which value they will choose BUT if you got it wrong they will walk away with the cash!
All they have to do is commit to their choice by picking up the desired poker chip and placing it on the corresponding note. Once the chip is on the note their choice is locked in, but until then they can change their mind as often as they like. Of course once the choice has been may you can prove you know 100% which one they would go for!
The best thing about Petty Cash is the kicker ending. The effect leads them down the garden path and just when they think they know how it's done you pull the rug from under them.
Petty Cash may be performed in any language and uses zero sleight of hand. In fact it's a very clever take on the classic multi out system that you will love!
